Traditional Chinese music and instruments. Butterfly Lovers is regarded as the equivalent of the classic Western Romeo and Juliet story. A unique form of opera with an all-female cast, differing both musically and visually from traditional Western opera. Butterfly Lovers is an excellent opportunity to further understanding of Chinese art, history, culture and tradition. Presented by the University of Rhode Island in celebration of the opening of the URI Confucius Institute, one of only 20 such institutes in the U.S. Tickets $27 - $102.

Inspired by the pieces that Tony-award winning Jones and the late Zane began creating over 20 years ago, Another Evening: I Bow Dow is a transporting experience that examining the resilience of the human spirit. In this performance, Jones is both dancer and spectator, moving through a landscape of natural disasters and personal reminiscence. Live music by Daniel Bernard Roumain.
